Revelation on John 10:10

God's Word tells us that satan comes to "steal, kill and destroy" (John 10:10).  I used to perceive that verse like I think a lot of other people do ("stuff lost", "people dead" and "eternal life lost"), but God opened it up more for me this morning!
The thief comes to:

Steal - Our identity!  If we lose our identity, we don't know who we are in Christ (or if we knew it at one time, we forget it when we let him steal it through disobedience), so we lose access to everything that that God-given identity would give us access to.
Kill - Our hopes and dreams!  If our hopes and dreams die, then faith is worthless because it has nothing to focus on.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for.  No hope = No faith.
Destroy - Our ability to receive anything from God (and our ability to have life)!  If we can't receive from God, we will continually be conformed to this world, and ultimately destroyed in the process.
A few of our daily reminders for how to continually be victorious against the enemy and his attacks:

Romans 12:2 - Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Matthew 6:33 - Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luke 10:27 - You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.
